King Jehoshaphat and his men were in a desert without any water for themselves or for their animals and thought they would die. The king cried out to God for mercy and, this is what the Lord said, “You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water.” (2 Kings 3:17) In other words God was saying, “I will give you what you need, not in the way you think, but in My own way.” Sometimes, God gives no hints– no wind or clouds to let us know that the water is coming. He only asks, “Do you trust Me?” To whom are we looking to? Who is our source? God is telling us, “I’ll supply your need, but not in the way you think.” Today, you are in a dilemma – even a situation of your own making – don’t be afraid to call on the Lord with a sincere heart. Wait for Him to answer. Don’t worry about how God will do it. He’ll do it!

Judges 6:12 ‘The Angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon and said, ‘The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.’
What the Lord says about us, is more important than what we think of ourselves. In fact, God doesn’t see us as man does. When Gideon was at his lowest, God called him a MIGHTY WARRIOR. Today, you may be at your lowest, but the Lord is with you and calls you a mighty warrior. He is not finished with you yet. He is with you to accomplish great things through you. You have nothing to fear.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You that You are with me. I believe what You say about me, and I know that You have great plans for my life. Amen.

We all go through seasons of sadness, depression, fear and doubt. Many great men of God in the Bible, like Moses, Job, Elijah went through overwhelming valleys of doubts and fears. Elijah wanted God to take his life. Moses ran away in fear, Job cursed the day he was born. King David cried out in sadness many times through the psalms. Paul wrote, “God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus” (2 Corinthians 7:6), certainly knew seasons of darkness and despair. So if you find yourself under the heavy weight of depression today, you’re not alone in your struggle. God knows your suffering. Your dark circumstances are not beyond His power to heal, restore and redeem. God will give you a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3

“I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul.” (1 Samuel 27:1). This is how David lamented when Saul was hunting him down. He fled to Israel’s enemies thinking he would be safe there as Saul was too afraid to attack them. David acted in panic and this led him to deeper trouble which could have been easily avoided if he had trusted in the Lord. This is a lesson for us. Never panic, if we make the Lord our stronghold and take refuge in Him, He will be faithful to protect and rescue us and will see us through any trouble however insurmountable it may seem.

‘He will sustain you to the end…’ 1 Corinthians 1:8
The Lord is the sustainer of your life. He will carry you and give you the support that you need. He does not help us the one day and then abandon us the next day. His sustaining power will be there to carry you every day until the end.
PRAYER: Lord, I declare that You are the One who sustains me. I will rest in Your power and ability to carry me, both now and forever more. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

So the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai; and Esther appointed Mordecai over the house of Haman. Esther 8:2
Mordecai was at one time sitting at the palace gate. Haman was in the palace. Haman’s dubious plans to put Mordecai to death came to nothing when Esther intervened on his behalf. Now the tables turned dramatically. Haman was hanged and Mordecai was honoured.
Perhaps you are experiencing a time when you have been humiliated. Don’t despair. God will vindicate you. You are in a period of testing. These times will someday give way to an abundance that is beyond your comprehension. You have God’s word on it!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Why don’t things turn out the way I want? Why do I have to be the one to suffer when everyone around me are seemingly happy? Sometimes, we wish we could write our own story! Maybe, today nothing makes sense in your life. Everything seems to be just a heap of ashes. But our God makes beauty out of ashes. He can use your broken life to bring healing and hope to someone who is going through similar paths. Oh that we would trust Him even if the twists and turns never make sense this side of heaven. That’s what trusting God is all about. The dark places are simply opportunities to trust that God knows best and He can write a better story, more than you can ask or think.

Please read Psalm 23 What a beautiful Psalm!
As you begin a new month, ponder this verse.
“So why would I fear the future? For I’m being pursued only by Your goodness and unfailing love. Then afterwards— when my life is through, I’ll return to Your glorious presence to be forever with You!” Psalm 23:6
When you make the Lord your shepherd, you will experience His presence, His provision, His protection and His guidance all the days of your life. How comforting to know who our God is! Why my soul are you downcast? Doesn’t your Shepherd know what you need? Rest in His promises and be at peace.

People encounter major losses in their lives, and sadly, many never get over them.
Being angry with God is quite common. People frequently ask, “If God is good, all-powerful, and full of love for us, why didn’t He stop the thing that caused the pain?”
But endings always bring new beginnings. The enemy strives to keep us out of the new place that God has prepared. He wants to trap us in the past and cause us to live in permanent misery.
“Do not lose hope!” If you are hurting right now due to a loss in your life, I want to tell you that a new beginning is in front of you. What satan intends for your harm, God can turn around for your good!
Philippians 3:13, …one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind I am straining forward to what lies ahead.
