Our citizenship is in heaven. Philippians 3:20
As believers in the Lord Jesus, we possess dual citizenship. Our temporary citizenship is on earth. We are here for a short time in order to live for Christ and make an impact for the kingdom. Our eternal citizenship is in heaven where we will live in the presence of God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, forever. Therefore, regardless of the times we live in, the trials we face and the troubles that confront us, let us continuously build our hopes on things eternal.
Lord, let us be Kingdom minded people, transform us through the power of Your Holy Spirit so that we we’ll display Your character always. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 We can be a prisoner to the thoughts in our mind, we can be held captive by wrong beliefs, addictions and any number of bondages. The only thing that can break the chains of bondage is the Truth. And the only valid truth is the Word of God-the Bible. The more you abide in the word, the greater freedom you will enjoy. God has revealed the truth in His Word—all the way from Genesis through Revelation. If you are hungry enough for freedom, get into God’s Word today.

God is a God of mercy and grace. Understanding mercy is often difficult for us as we tend to be a generation of “I hope they get what they deserve.” God, however, is merciful to even the worst sinner. Romans 3:23-24 says “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” We are all sinners and do not meet His standards of righteousness . But, through His mercy and grace He provided a way for our sins to be forgiven through our acceptance of Christ Jesus—even though we don’t deserve. Micah 7:18 says, “Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of His people? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.”Mercy is offered to you and me alike. How would you respond to His mercy?

The prodigal was never safer than when he was driven to his father’s bosom. When he came to nothing, he realized His father was the only one who could give him that solace he got nowhere else. Our Lord sometimes has to take us through famine that it may make us seek him more. The best position for a Christian is living wholly and directly on God’s grace- “Having nothing, and yet possessing all things.” (2 Corinthians 6:10) Let us never for a moment think that our standing is in our sanctification, our character, or our deeds, but know that because Christ offered a full atonement, therefore we are saved; for we are complete in Him. Having nothing of our own, but resting upon the merits of Jesus Christ. When are brought to a thirsting condition, we are sure to turn to the fountain of life-Jesus Christ, we are truly satisfied for He is our sustenance.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 ‘And so we will be with the Lord forever.’
Eternity with the Lord, is His plan for your future. We are eternal spiritual beings having a temporary physical life here on earth. Often life seems so overwhelming that we think that that is all there is.
But let me remind you that we are destined to be with the Lord forever. What a blessed hope!
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for this earthly life You have blessed me with. But may I never forget that I am one breath away from my eternal future with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Jesus cried, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Matthew 27:46
Can any of you who are parents imagine abandoning your child to be beaten, mocked, scorned, and killed by your enemies – because their crimes needed to be punished? But that’s what the Father did, for you and me. Sin deserves punishment. Jesus took all of that on Himself.
Jesus paid for your sins so you wouldn’t have to. He took the wrath that you deserve so you could know forgiveness and access into the Kingdom of God. He was forsaken so you could be accepted.
How do you respond to this love, this great sacrifice?
Have you really put your faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross?

1 Thessalonians 5:10

‘We can live with Him forever.’
There is a great and wonderful future that lies ahead for each child of God. Our future includes an eternity with the Lord forever. Don’t allow the cares of life to rob you of this wonderful reality. Life may have its challenges, but we are destined to live with HIM forever.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, what a wonderful thought to think that I will live with You forever. May I never forget this awesome reality, and may I live as though this wonderful fact is real in my daily life. Amen.

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation…” Isaiah 30:15
Have you moved away from the Lord for some reason? Return to the Shepherd, the Great I AM, now. Jesus is waiting to be gracious to you. How long will you walk away from Him. You have no hope apart from Him. Return to Him with all your heart!
Though Israel had turned from the Lord, He longed to be gracious to them. “All day long I have held out My hands to an obstinate people.” Isaiah 65:2. That’s the Father’s heart. He longs for you to return.
What are you holding on to in the place of God? Let go and let God take over. Return to Him, today.

“In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14). Redemption simply means “set free.” We have been set free by precious blood of Jesus Christ. We have the right to stand against every accusation and say, “I don’t believe that, devil. You’ve accused me for the last time. My Bible says I’m redeemed because I believe in what Jesus did for me on the cross. I confess my sins to Him and I am redeemed — free!”
Declaration: “By my faith in the blood of Jesus, I receive the righteousness of Christ. He has made me fit and qualified to worship and serve my Lord!”
