Category: God’s protection

I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly plague. He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart. Psalm 91:2-4 Assuredly no subtle plot shall succeed against the one who has the eyes of God watching for his defense, we are foolish and weak as poor little birds, and are very apt to be lured to our destruction by cunning foes, but if we dwell near to God, He will see to it that the most skillful deceiver shall not entrap us and no plague will come nigh our dwelling.

God promised the prophet Zechariah that in the last days, He would be a protective wall of fire around His people. ( Zechariah 2:5). Likewise, Isaiah testifies: “There shall be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain” (Isaiah 4:6). These promises are meant to comfort us before a great storm comes in the final days. Indeed, Jesus says this coming storm will be so frightful that people’s hearts will fail them as they see it developing (see Luke 21:26).Now, if Jesus says this storm is going to be ferocious,  we can be sure it will be, but How do we remain calm in troubling times?  I saw the Lord always before my face, for He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken”  ( Acts 2:25).And the only way to do that is to spend time in the father’s presence, beholding His face. We have to be on our knees.

Psalm 63:7
‘For You are my help; I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings.’The Lord is your Helper and your Guide. You have reason to rejoice and be glad, because He is with you. The Lord has helped you thus far, so be confident about the future. In a world that is full of uncertainty, rest securely and joyfully under the shelter of the Most High. He is able to carry you through.
PRAYER: Lord, truly You are my help. I still believe and trust in Your plans and I place my heart in Your hands. You are all I need, and all of my trust is in You, my Faithful Friend. In Jesus’ Name,  Amen.

The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. (Isaiah 58:8)
In life we will experience challenging situations in which our faith is tested. During those times we must remember exactly who our Heavenly Father truly is. God is our ultimate protector, provider, refuge, strength and safeguard. When you engage in God’s word and recall how He delivered His children during their challenging situations, don’t forget that He is the same GOD who will guard and deliver you. HE is your guard on all fronts. Our impenetrable Guard is the One who goes with us to fight against our enemies to save us. If there was ever anyone who truly loved you and had your back, ponder on the truth that GOD does. Thank the LORD for being your rear guard!
