When we pray, “Your will be done” (Matthew 6:10), we are asking for God’s will to prevail over our will.
We are often tempted to believe “God gives us the opposite of what we ask for.” Your will be done means giving total control of your life to God.
That’s the kind of prayer God can answer because it’s based on the truth of God’s word. Many of us are unhappy because we’ve never surrendered our lives, our plans or our future to His control. Oftentimes we forget that God has the best plan for our life.
What is it that you are afraid to give to God? Whatever it is, you’ll be a lot happier when you finally say, “Your will be done!”
