For I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content” (Philippians 4:11)
Paul learned not to let what he didn’t have, overshadow what he did. Contentment calls for simplifying your life. “Contentment makes poor men rich, and discontent makes rich men poor.”
Contentment means my happiness is not dependent upon circumstances but upon the Lord.”
Paul said, “I’ve learned the secret of contentment in every situation.“ It is something you have to learn. It doesn’t come naturally. Our happiness isn’t dependent on how much or how little we’ve got. If you don’t learn contentment, you’ll never be happy. You’ll always want more.
